To be sure, Click & Pledge is not too good to be true. It is, however, a Company that has changed the way nonprofits do business. Since 2002, Click & Pledge has served over 10,000 customers in 46 countries…and we’re carefully expanding. Good, but not too good to be true. Unlike most Companies, we never set out to be a commercial enterprise. We were just trying to help out a few of our local nonprofits. It didn’t take long to realize that most small to midsize nonprofits could not afford the expensive software and support that was available…so we built our own secure payment pages and offered them free. We remain free today…our only fees are transaction-based. Your level of success raising money with our products defines our success; a subtle but strong “partnership”. So what began as a single “payment page” has now evolved into an entrepreneurial business offering a depository of free software platforms that are unmatched anywhere. Just in the past 18 months we have added vanguard fundraising and management tools. Mobile applications, video payments and social media tools are recent additions. Just as importantly, we’ve built a banking relationship that allows us to be competitive on credit cards fees. The future, we believe, is about Cloud computing. Organizations are discovering the power of the cloud as a better way to manage their IT and the business of nonprofits. Our recent integration of Salesforce.com and its Cloud-based donor management capability is the result of the Salesforce Foundation gifting a custom version of its CRM platform to registered nonprofits. Click & Pledge has enhanced the Salesforce application, increased its capabilities, made it easy to use and will continue to deploy robust applications like event management and payment integration. It’s free to nonprofits, it’s managed in the cloud, it delivers big data capability and it’s smart computing.
