Rendering of new buildings -frontBy Sarah Romero

2016 marks the 65th anniversary of the longest-running Catholic private school in the Coachella Valley, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School and Preschool (OLPH). In 2016, the school is also undergoing major construction to expand its Preschool and add a Multi-Purpose Hall to their campus. From 6 rooms in downtown Indio in 1951, OLPH continues to grow by leaps and bounds.

The expansion of the preschool features a new facility to complement the existing two-story Transitional Kinder – 8th grade school building that was completed in 2007. The new Multi-Purpose Hall will include an indoor gymnasium, stage, and full commercial kitchen.
In 2015, the school was the recipient of an Anderson Children’s Foundation Grant for $10,000; a CBS Local 2 and H.N. & Frances C. Berger Foundation’s Coachella Valley Spotlight Award for $25,000; and a Caritas Telecommunications Grant for $20,000.

“We are thriving,” said Diane Arias, principal of OLPH. “We have been blessed with so many wonderful friends, family, and supporters giving of their time, talent, and treasure over the past half century. As we enter our next chapter, we’re looking forward to welcoming new relationships with local families and business leaders in the Coachella Valley, too.”
