Friends of the Palm Springs Library (FOPSL), an organization dedicated to promoting community interest in the Palm Springs Public Library, has launched a new, interactive website as part of its public outreach efforts. Area residents are encouraged to visit the site and to become members of the organization.

The new website, in addition to providing information about the history and goals of FOPSL, also offers information on how to become a member, how to register for events, and instructions on how to volunteer or make a donation. It also provides details about the FOPSL annual book sale and monthly Book Club, which meets on the third Friday of each month.

“This is one of the most exciting and transformative times to be a Friend of the Palm Springs Library,” explains Chris Seidel, President of FOPSL. “In order to support 21st Century services expected by the public, the Library must undergo a substantial renovation, and our new website will be an excellent tool for garnering support.”

Friends of the Palm Springs Library has contributed more than $500,000 to purchase books, movies, visual arts, music, furnishings, computers and equipment. For more information about Friends of the Palm Springs Library, visit www.friendsofthepalmspringslibrary.org or call       760-324-3224.
