Indian Wells Rotary Annual Scholarship Fundraiser, All-Star Tribute to Monty Hall

The Indian Wells Rotary Club will hold their annual gala to raise money for the ”Oliphant Scholarship Fund” on Sunday, January 20th at 5 p.m. at Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells.  The fundraiser enables the rotary to offer financial assistance to those who might not otherwise be able to attend college, with the goal this year to raise at least $30,000 to support high school seniors enrolling in college in the fall of 2013.
The gala hosts Monty Hall while giving tribute to the internationally known producer, actor singer and sportscaster, best known as host of the television game show Let’s Make a Deal.  Norm Crosby, the “Master of Malaprop” and a veteran of countless Ed Sullivan shows and television specials, is a particularly close friend of Monty and will be doing standup comedy to have fun with the crowd. Jack Jones and Trini Lopez, as well as a host of musical and dramatic talent are part of the evening entertainment. There will be other notable guests and friends of Monty offering comments about him, as well as a few other surprises.
